I am trying to write a paper about identity theft for a forensic accounting class but I’m stumped. Can someone out there give me some examples for sources of where I can go to find this information, how identity theft relates to forensic accounting or what forensic accountants do in cases involving identity theft?
thank you!

Forensic accountants look at past spending habits to determine whether verify whether expenditures made after an identity was stolen could be possible. They also verify income sources to see whether the expenses are feasible with the sources of income that are claimed. I would look to professional membership organizations for forensic accountants for further information with respect to their procedures of identity theft verification because they probably have standards, principles and codified policies that certification requires adherence to.
better u write on the subject u have a hold
